Each piece of Kayunara furniture has a lifetime span, which highly depends on how you maintain and care it. Here is some advice to make your piece of furniture lasts for generations to enjoy.

WOOD FINISHES (FURNITURE)

Wood is a natural material with variations of color shade, configuration, streaks, and grain structure. Just as trees in the forest are not the same. Each individual piece of Kayunara furniture has characteristics markings that will differ from photo and showroom samples.

  • Wood and veneer are affected by light. Arrange your furniture so that it does not sit near heat registers, any direct heat source and direct sunlight.

  • Water is only to be used in small doses and only in the form of a damp cloth. After wiping, always use a dry cloth. Dry the piece thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth.

  • Wood and veneer are very sensitive to liquids. Wipe up spilled liquids immediately.

  • Lack of humidity in dry climates, can cause certain veneers to crack.

MARBLE

Marble is a porous material with an open surface. Any spilled liquid should be wiped off immediately to avoid stains. Marble can be cleaned with a mild detergent an warm water, rinsed with clean water and wiped with a clean soft cloth to assure no residue remains. 

LEATHER AND SUEDE

Leather and suede are organic artifacts, most of them will become dull during the life span and ware. 

  • Suede surface should only be cleaned with a dry stiff brush. Exposure to liquid spills should be avoided. 

  • Protect Leahter from direct sunlight and sources of heat to prevent colour fading.

  • For cleaning with vacuum cleaner, use a soft brush nozzle to avoid scratching the surface.

  • For General cleaning use a dry soft cloth only.

FABRICS

All upholstery fabrics should be dusted on regular basis with a vacuum cleaner. If possible, cushion should be reversed frequently. Protect fabric from direct sunlight to prevent colour fading. Spot clean only with mild, water free solvent or dry cleaning product. Always pre-test a small area first. Do not uses bleach at any time. All fabric may fade over time. Wear-ability of fabrics is relative to the care and use. Cleaning by a professional upholstery cleaning service is reccomended.
